Styllrax launched in September 2025 across Delhi, Noida and Ghaziabad. Online bookings replaced guesswork for customers and phone-and-WhatsApp coordination for salons.

The problem

People booked almost everything online, except haircuts.

Most salons in Delhi NCR had no way to manage availability. Our hypothesis: if salons took bookings online, they would fill more slots and customers would stop waiting in queues.

USD 10.8B market, mostly offline India's salon market in 2024. Discovery ran on Google Maps, Instagram and word of mouth.
Two sides, one booking Customers needed certainty. Owners needed a schedule. A booking app alone fixed only half of it.
Research

We went into the salons before designing anything.

Method In-person conversations with salon owners and waiting customers across Delhi NCR.
Question to owners “How do you manage bookings and cancellations today?”
Synthesis Notes grouped by who felt the problem. Both sides had one, so we built for both.
